INTER-CULTURAL MASS 2018
The Inter-cultural Mass was celebrated on Sunday, 8 July 2018. Archbishop Peter Kairo, Bishop Emeritus of Nyeri Archdiocese in Kenya was the main Celebrant. Fr. Martin Flatman gave an inspiring sermon. Lord Mayor of Oxford Colin Cook, The Member of Parlaiament for Oxford East Anneliese Jane Dodds, Counclillor Rae Humberstone were the special invited guests.

GROTTO FEAST 2018
The Shrine Feast was celebrated on Sunday, 27 May 2018. The Holy Mass at 4 pm was concluded by the procession to the Grotto. The community BBQ after the liturgy was the highlight of the day.

INTER-CULTURAL MASS 2017
The Inter-cultural Mass was celebrated on Sunday, 9 July 2017. Rev. Fr. Peter Hunter from Blackfriars was the main Celebrant and Lord Mayor Jean Fooks was the Chief Guest.
During the Mass, Gwen Pemberton, the music leader for the Birmingham Caribbean Brass Band was awarded with the Ubi Caritas. “Since the beginning of the Intercultural Mass at Sacred Heart she has never let us down even when it was difficult for the rest of her team to come over”, said Fr John Hancock, the Dean who presented her the award on behalf of the Arch Bishop of Birmingham.
Rev Heather and many faithful from Holy Family also attended the Mass that had prayers and singing in different native languages.

MARIAN GROTTO
The Marian Grotto was blessed and dedicated by the Auxilliary Bishop of Archdioces of Birmingham, Bishop William Kenney on Sunday, 16 October 2016. The Indian (Malayalam) Community initiated, funded and materialized the project in its entirety under the guidance of Fr. Naz, the parish priest and the leadership of Mr. Binu Joseph.

SUMMER FETE – 2016
The summer fete organised by the parish community has been held in the afternoon on Saturday, 18 June 2016 with various stalls and a food stall by the Indian Community. The fete was well attended and the community could raise a good amonut of money for the parish.

GOLDEN JUBILEE 2016
The Golden Jubilee of the Parish Church was celebrated on Saturday, 04 July 2016. Vicar General Monsignor Timothy representing the Arch-Bishop of Birmingham was the main Celebrant of the Jubilee Mass. All the erstwhile parish priests were present on the occassion. The Deputy Mayor of the Oxford City Councill and the parish priest of the Holy Family Church were among the invited guests.
During the Golden Jubilee Mass 5 of the parishnors were awarded with the Ubi Caritas Award for their outstanding contribution to the Parish. Many Priests, religous sisters and faithful attended the Mass that had prayers and singing in different native languages. The Mass was enriched with the offortory procession with Irish Dancers of the parish performing.

Being the 25th Year of Inter-cultural Mass, Mrs Olive Smith, aknowledging her contribution, was awarded the Ubi Carital Award. Many Priests and faithful attended the Mass that had prayers and singing in different native languages.

CHRISTMAS BAZAR 2014
The Christmas Bazar is organised by the parish on the last Saturday of November every year. More than a fund raising event, it is an occasion for the parishioners as well as the local community to contribute something to building up and growth of the local church.

UBI CARITAS AWARD 2014
Three of our parishioners – Patricia (Pat) Mary King, Patricia (Paddy) McCartney and Patrick (Pat) McGroarty are acknowledged for their outstanding contribution to the parish by the Arch-diocese of Birmingham. They were awarded with the Ubi Caritas Medal and citation on Sunday, 28 September 2014. The Special Mass was celebrated at 10:30 am by Bishop William Kenney being the main celebrant and the three were adorned with the medals by the Bishop in the presence of Fr. Naz, the parish priest and a large number of member of the parish community. A bring ‘n’ share lunch was hosted in honour of them in the hall immediately after the Mass.

The Inter-cultural Mass which used to be celebrated every second Sunday of December in the past is now moved to every second Sunday in the month of July from 2014.
